World Health Day 2015 | April 7 2015

On April 07, we celebrate the World Day of health, this date has been set by the World Health Assembly in 1948 and aims to propose reflection and debate on quality of life and the various factors that put people’s health at risk .

The date was also chosen because it coincides with the founding date of the World Health Organization.

According to OMS, the concept of health is defined as:

“A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

In 2015, the theme of the campaign is: “Safe food: from farm to fork. Do your part “and is in use in social networks hastag  #safefood.

The choice of this theme is due to high rates of cause of death from contaminated food. About two million people a year, mostly children.

This campaign focuses on promoting measures to improve food safety throughout the production chain, from the field to our table. Aims to involve and alert government sectors, farmers, manufacturers, retailers, health professionals and consumers about the importance of food security, and that all must take due care to have a healthy diet.

5 keys to keep food safe:

● Keep cleaning

● Separate raw and cooked food

● Cooking completely

● Keep a safe temperature

● Use strong materials
